The purpose of this non-profit organization is to assist persons with disabilities to develop to their highest potential and achieve fulfilling lives.
What Dose that look like?
This looks like so many different things! At its core, though, this looks like each employee of MV Advancements not only treating people, all people, as people, but working to aid the world in doing the same. We believe that everyone can lead a full and rich life no matter what circumstance life has handed out. Sometimes people can reach that goal without help. But when support is required because there is a mismatch between an adult’s abilities and how the world is set up, MV Advancements stands in the gap with tenacity and creative solutions. By resolving that mismatch between ability and environment, we can help individuals achieve greater independence and reach higher and farther than they may have thought possible.

What does that look like?
MV Advancements values the person-centered approach, and it is the core of all we do. We believe that all people deserve to have a voice and a choice in the shape of their life. MVA seeks to present as many options for those we support as possible, be that in their work-life or personal life. We strive to overcome barriers to enrich the lives of others. Never accepting ‘no’ as the final answer, always looking at how we can overcome the ‘no’ and make it a ‘yes’!
MV Advancements is built on a driving passion for people and seeing them thrive. With this passion, we want to move the perception others have about those who experience a disability and what they can contribute to our community and the workplace through their work and through their friendship. Through trust and respect for all, we build relationships both with internal and external customers that will continue to thrive and grow as we work towards the common goal of inclusion. We know these barriers cannot be broken down by one person doing it all. This is why Collaboration and teamwork are a vital component of the culture here at MV Advancements. From our founder Margaret Reavis-Larsen to our current team, MV Advancements has valued innovation and always looks for the next step in moving our company forward.
