Oddly enough, that is my face. Yep, I am writing my own celebration post. Yes, it is as strange as you think it is! Setting the strangeness aside, I think I will take my moment in the spotlight to tell you all WHY I LOVE MY JOB! Because it is true, I really do love my job.
MVA, its a special place full of unique and beautiful individuals who spend every day sharing their passion for making the world a better, more inclusive, and loving place. The work that this team does each day amazes me. They have adapted, sacrificed, stayed strong, and taught me and each other how to show up for the people we are serving no matter what we personally feel that day.
I have watched. I have learned. I have grown and changed into what I like to think is a better person because of the love and hard work this team has shown. Some days have been challenging, as we all adapted to the changed COVID-19 brought to us. We had to say goodbye to some of our coworkers, and process new laws, guidelines, and safety protocols at an alarming rate. But we did it. And we are all changed because of it. The resiliency and adaptability of my supervisor, Heidi Leggett, has been profound. It has been an honor serving this amazing company, and I look forward to continue learnin and seraving for many years more.
